In double double slit experiment any coherent source of light is preferred as fringe pattern is more easy to notice.

Youngs Double slit experiment is apllicable for any electromagnetic wave. 
but it is can only be seen when we do it with a spectrum of visible region.
This can be observed (ie. heard) when done with sound waves too.
