First please refer the definition
Transverse wave:::::
If the particles of the medium vibrate in a direction perpendicular to the direction of propagation of the wave, it is called a transverse wave.

Take a string of certain length, with one end attached to a fixed support. Hold the other free end of the string in hand, stretch and vibrate it in a perpendicular direction to the length of the string. A wave pattern is observed in the string

longitudinal wave
If the particles of the medium vibrate in a direction parallel to the direction of propagation of the wave, it is called a longitudinal wave.

eg::waves in a stretched spring are some examples of longitudinal waves. Take this as example of solid
