Electrons, each with a charge e, move with speed v along a metal wire. The electric current in the wire is I. Plane P is perpendicular to the wire. How many electrons pass through plane P in each second? The answer is I/e I don’t know why no drift velocity in the answer. Thanks

By the defi nation of current current is equal to total charge flowing per unit cross section per unit time and by quantisation of charge charge q is equal to n*e where n is no of electrons and e is charge on each electron put it in the above farmula you will get by e the answere
