Do all the waves need medium to travel? Why?

NO, onlly mechanical waves need medium to travell because they transmit the mecahnical energy and that requires

a medium to be propogated one more fact is responsible for the requirement of the the medium that is this energy is less in amount

while if we take electromagnetic waves they do not require any medium to travell and they also carry higher amount of energy.
