\\\text{Consider this,}\\ \text{By triangle law of vector addition, the vectors a, b and c form a triangle.}\\ \text{As } |a|=|c| \text{, a and c are the height and base, while b is the hypotenuse.}\\ \text{As the lengths of a and c are same, so is the angle between them and b.}\\ \text{Also, a and c are perpendicular to each other.}\\ \text{So, the triangle is a right-angled isosceles triangle.}\\ \text{Hence, the angle between a and b is 45} \degree \text{.}
