first find the bounded area which is ∫ydx= ∫(1+8/x^2)dx from 2 to 4 = 4
now to equally divide this area into two, each part obviously must have an area of 2 units^2.
so that area= 2= ∫(1+8/x^2)dx from 2 to a
or 2= (a^2 – 8)/a + 2
or a^2=8
or a= root8= 2root2
