let three vectors are P, Q & R.

now for collinearity, PQ=PR or PQ=QR as they will be in same direction

Now If PQ=QR

(a-b)− (a+b)= (a+ $\mu$ b)−(a−b)

−2b= ( $\mu$ +1)b

comparing coefficients of b,

$\mu$ +1= −2

$\mu$ = −3

Note- if we select PQ=PR or any other equation we will get another value of $\mu$ .

So $\mu$ =−3 is one solution.

A body is rotating with an angular velocity of 2radians per second about the line joining (1, 2,3) and (2, 3,5) find the velocity of the particle of the body which is momentarily at (3, 5,6)
