hello tech mirror, as usual vikas has given you the wrong ans, which clearly shows poor quality of his answers. the correct method is as follows:
since the first matrix is multiplied by 2, its elements become 6, 8, 10 and 2x. after adding the second matrix, the final elements become 6+1, 8+y, 10+0, 2x+1, which must be equal to 7, 0, 10, 5 respectively.
so, 8+y= 0 and 2x+1= 5
or y= – 8 and x= 2
so x – y= 10
