Hi Hasan,

Dot prodouct of two vectors is the operation on vectors which will yield you a scalar.

And cross roduct is an operation on vectors which will yield you another vector.

So axb = |a|*|b|*sinx*"n-cap", where "n-cap" is a unit vector perpendicular to the plane containing "a" and "b".

And a.b = |a|*|b|*cosx ----------(which is a scalar, as RHS has no vectors).

Hope that helps.

Best Regards,

Ashwin (IIT Madras).
