Dear student

We have to break limit from -1 to 0, 0 to 2

Hence from -1 to 0 (-x² dx) + from 0 to 2 (x² dx)

(-x³/3 )-10 + (x³/3)02

= 1/3 + 8/3 = 9/3 = 3

aruns ans is wrong.
note that x|x| is an odd function.
so breal integral as:
∫ – 1 ro 1 x|x|dx  +  ∫1 to 2 x|x|dx
= 0 + ∫1 to 2 x*xdx
= x^3/3 | 1 to 2
= (8 – 1)/3
7/3
kindly approve :))
