Dear student

If cos²A = cos²B
then we can not say A = B

As if A + B = nπ
Then
A = nπ- B

Then always also cos²A = cos²B

For a slightly different solution,
2cos2A−2sin2B
=2cos2A−1+1−2sin2B
=cos2A+cos2B
=2cos(A+B)cos(A−B)
and halve each side.

if you are thinking to take square root and just say cosa=cosb
actually you forget to take mode after taking root
so there can be also one case
a=-b
