Tan 2 theta = 2 tan theta/ 1 - tan ²theta
 
Suppose 2 theta = 15°
Hence
theta = 15/2
 
Now
Tan theta = x
 
2 - sqrt(3) = 2x/1 - x²
 
Now you get a quadratic equation and then you can solve for x. Which is tan 15/2
