remember the identity:
sin(a+b)*sin(a-b)= sin^2a – sin^2b
put a= pi/8+theta/2 and b= pi/8 – theta/2
then it is equal to
sin(a+b)*sin(a-b)= sin(pi/4)*sin(theta)=sin(theta)/root2
