-insurance companies
-motor vehicle departments

Automobile manufacturing industries such as TELCO, L&T, Ashok Leyland, Mahindra & Mahindra, Heldex India, Bajaj Auto and Gabrial employ automotive engineering graduates as Senior Production Engineer, Quality Engineer, Mechanical Design Engineer etc.

You may also join defence services of the country.

You may set up your own business venture.

You may even take up traditional teaching profession.

As far as salary is concerned, it depends on various parameters such as size of the organization, profile, qualification, experience etc. To give you a brief idea, for fresh graduates the average pay package offered ranges in between Rs. 15,000 to Rs. 20,000 per month.
