The newacademic session of the University commenced on August 1, 2013 and already 86 reputed companies have visited DTU for campus placements and offered jobs to 716 students.
Last year, about 67 companies had visited DTU during the same time forrecruitment and had offered jobs to 605 students, which shows a clearimprovement in the placement scenario this year. In total 176 companies had visited DTU for placements in 2012-13 academic session and had made about 900 job offers and many students had more than one job offer in hand.
The companies visiting DTU are from diverse sectors like software development, investment banking, defense, core, knowledge process outsourcing and financial services. The recruiters include leading MNC’s like
to mention some. The maximum numbers of selections have been made from the field of Computer Engineering and Software Engineering followedby Electronics & Communication Engineering and Information Technology.
The highest salary offered so far is `93 LPA, which has been made to one students by a reputed MNC, whereas the average salary is around 11 LPA, which is also better than the last year’s average of 8 LPA. Placements at DTU are a year-long activity and will go on till May 2014.
