Zakir Huasain Institute of technology under AMU is one of the oldest and reputed college of Uttar Pradesh.It has excellent faculty,infrastructure , alumini base world wide and respectable placement.Though rankwise it has rarely been among top 25 colleges of India but still it is better than some NITs and other regional engineering college.I have personally known alumini of Zakir hussain college worldwide.Thus if you are not able to get better rank in IIT then it is a good option.

i have heard that it has got a proposal of being converted to an IIT, why it hasn`t accepted?
