sir, i want to know whether admission to the new IIT's (iit bhuvaneshwar,iit punjab....) is a better option than admission into the nit's like trichy or warangal(if i get in !!!!!).Are there any disparities in quality of faculty ,instruction and infrastructure as compared to the NIT's?

Dear student Mr. Adhithya; IIT colleges are always batter than any IIT. these have a important tag and renowned in other country also. but not NIT colleges, these are famous only in India. Second things, you will use mentor IIT this year and only next years onward you will shift to new IIT so facilities of IIT is not at all comparable. NITs have not a good standard if compare with IIT even new IIT also. So join IIT(new). Please feel free to post as many doubts on our discussion forum as you can.  the doubt u have about colleges (new iits vs nits )is the doubt of many students . i m giving my point of view which may help u a lot,,,,

CLEARING THE COMMON DOUBTS :-

THE WORLD RECOGNISED BRANDNAME IIT

    consider if look a addidas shoes ,then u are assure of of its quality even if that shoe is produced from a new reebok factory. in a nutshell its very hard to make a name a brandname
    ,so no one wants to play with the image of his brandname:-

    so how iit can assure the image of its brandname with NEW IITS:-
 
1:-PLACEMENT
        1:- new iit have cleaverly started only and only the top demanded branches cs,ee,me or civil. so that there is no problem with placement.

 2:-it has taken only 40 students per stream so that they can be placed easily;

2:-INFRASTRUCTURE
 3:-a huge amount of fund is given to the iits for the infrastructure. and till your placement the infrastructure will be surely   awesome.
    also the new new campus will be made with new technology which will be better than any old iits also. 

3:-FACULTY
 4:-the young talented facultiesare eager to join new iits ,why, because they have new opportunities in new iits like
           a :-they can set up their lab themselves,
           b :-they can be easily identified in new iits ,but in old iits they are hardly identified because there are   many                         other old faculty already ruling the college.

 5:-Kapil sibal allowed new iits to give extra salary from their fund to the attract more qualified faculty..  
        and also talking about faculty shortage ,its common problem of all indian colleges including "all" old iits .

        7:-well every new iit now have its own cultral fest (have a look please==http://www.zeitgeistfest.com/)and various clubs have been formed conducting various activities and competitions regularly

WHY YOU ARE CONFUSED:-

students doubt for new iits because they are getting it easily, and its human nature that if we get things easily we doubt its quality.
and its my guarantee that after few years , their will be blood fight for these seats like the old iit good seats .
because

" IIT DELHI BHI KABHI NEW IIT THI."

WHAT IS MY OPINION:-
"A LION'S KID IS ALSO A LION AND THEY ARE MEANT FOR RULING THE WORLD"

and so does new  iits . they are growing exponentially and will take over other colleges very soon.

so i think its golden opportunity for u . so donot think for dropping a year or joining any other college .

just join the BRANDNAME for which ""YOU STRUGGLED FOR 2 YEARS""
