The University of Petroleum and Energy Studies (UPES) is a university situated at Village Bidholi,via Prem Nagar, Dehradun, India, specializing in the fields of oil and gas, transportation, power, computer science, Information technology, international business, logistics and supply chain, infrastructure and legal studies. It was established in 2003 and is sponsored by Hydrocarbons Education and Research Society.

UPES offers over 49 undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programs.^[1]

The University has three colleges, College of Management & Economics Studies (CoMES), College of Engineering Studies (CoES) and College of Legal Studies (CoLS).
