For chemical engg., there is a lot of scope nowadays. There is a lot if research going on in various allied streams. Oil and Petroleum, Textile, polymer and even many manufacturing lines offer a handsome package All the IIT’s have chemical and its related branches viz. polymer science, chemical engg. and avg package depends on the college and the company par say. A lot of PSU’s also nowadays are hiring pupils from chemical engg specially every year. Other than IIT’s, state level universities don’t have that good a reputation in this field which affects the company fetching during the placements. Try your hand at NIT’s, IIT’s and autonomous institutes like DTU, NSIT, BITS, etc.
