In your first year at IIT, you would have to share a room with a roommate. From second year onwards, you get a single seater to yourself.

There is no AC available to students, and the LAN facility is open 24x7 with some exceptions at different IITs. Mess facility is good and open to all. Additionally you also have canteens that are open all through the night for students.

                 IIT JEE 2011 Results

and clearing the

                IIT JEE 2011 Cut-offs

would definitely pay you well.

I know about IIT Guwahati....diff iits have diff...

Single Room privacy from first year itself  ...

Quite good in size (10*10)...

High standards.....

But no AC (i dont think there is ac in hostel rooms in any of the IITs)...

Being new the hostel facilities are better than Other iits...

In IIT G..

All rooms have internet facility.......LAN not wi-fi...

Food quality is quite good....menu is of international standards.....but the taste cant be better than your mother's food.....
