is instrumentation & control (in dce) a good branch in terms of placement & job availability..?

The scope is very impressive. India is doing very well in chemical industry & this industries have sizable automation.
Another field is paper industry which is also prominent in India.
There is very little work done on automation of automobiles, construction & other smaller industry. Banking & building management is another field where there is a large scope since very little work has been done.
However, the fastest growing field is hospital automation & instrumentation in India currently.

Upon completion of the degree, students will be prepared for careers with industry that manufacture and apply instrumentation and control equipment including power generation companies, petroleum refining industry, aerospace industries, health care firms, chemical firms, environmental monitoring and control companies, waste water treatment plants and plastic industries.
