I'm getting a seat in these two colleges and got iit air 6612...

So plz.. tell wat should i do?

you may go in iit but if you have above 5000 rank in aieee u may go in aieee.

I've got BITSAt score 302 and aieee air 6619...

Both are very good options. You shud go for Mechanical @ BIT mesra.

BIT Mesra (established in 1955) is a much older college as compared to BITS Goa, which has been opened recently only. BIT Mesra has gt good infra and facilities and a decent past placement record.

But  I've heard on other sites (like goiit ) that bits goa is better and is another campus of bits pilani

and has placements upto 14 Lakhs/annum and are giving

 bits pilani degree, and placements are also through pilani .

But in bits mesra it is upto 10.4 L/a.

so please suggest me some more reasons as i had my liking little towards bits goa being a nice place and Jharkhand having Naxalite problem...and I'm from Panipat , Haryana..

I have filled  electronics above mechanical as a choice in both..

what are the future prospects of ECE (as every institution in india is having this course and it seems there would be glut after  some years.)

should i stick to mechanical or opt for ECE...

Lets attack your questions step by step

* First of all you should not compare placements in terms of salary right now in selection for campus. Nobody knows what salaries are going to be like 4 years down the line. Having said that, a well established institution always has a better chance of prospering than a newly opened institute. In your case, BIT mesra is clearly the choice that stands out.

* Secondly, agreed that Goa is a nice place as compared to Jharkhand. But let's understand that you are going to a campus not a city. Campus life is always secluded from external happenings in the city, though not completely but to a great extent. So, if want to enjoy all the established facilities, proper order, nice faculty, better peer group, BITS mesra is the place to go.

* ECE always has and will always have bright prospects as compared to Mech. You are right in pointing out that many institutions are coming with ECE, but so does are the oppotunities. In this growing electronics, its better to opt for ECE than mech.
