It is absolutely wrong to say that ISM Dhanbad is known for mining engineering. PLEASE DO NOT SPREAD SOMETHING THAT YOU DO NOT KNOW OR YOU ARE IGNORANT ABOUT.

ISM DHANBAD is the best school of ASIA for earth sciences not just mining engineering. Apart from Mining engineering, Mineral engineering, environmental engineering, petroleum engineering ,mining machinery engineering are branches for which ISM is famous. These branches have got assured placements because no other college teaches these subjects and even of it does the engineers are not of the level ISM passouts are. 

Placements of electrical , mechanical and electronics too are better than most of the nit's except 3 or 4.
