Civil and Chemical Both are good branches. But you need to specify the classification: on basis of packages Chemical and Civil land at same spot, 

But civil does fetches more high end govt. or jobs from big firms with stability in long run, while Chemical lands in a variety of jobs. College matters after that. Please clear the classification and then we can discuss and elaborate
