DTU FOR BTECH IN MECHANICAL ENGINEERING IS A BETTER CHOICE WHEN CONSIDERING PLACEMENT AS  A FACTOR OF COMPARING THE TWO.SO IF YOU ARE IN SEARCH FOR HIGH PACKAGES THAN DTU MECHANICAL IS SURELY A BETTER ALTERNATIVE

IDear Friend, my cousin is a final year mechanical engineering student in Nit Kurukshetra. If he would have been in your place he would have opted for cs.
Reasons:
1-After 4 years , looking from perspective of job opportunities, CS is far far better.
2-Cs offers good package (14 students are paced in snapdeal @ 15 lpa, other companies such as flipkart, amazon, lenskart,hp almost all good companies visit nit KKR... My roomie in 1st Yr got placed in drishti @ 17 lpa and u won't believe while I was writing this answer on my phone one of my CS bro called nd interrupted my writing experience to break the news that he got another job:) ......)
3- Major reason should be the subjects n course which is far more interesting  (though I have studied none but believe me I have true friends from both branches ;) ...) and practical in CS. On the other hand i’d bluntly say
None, If you don't have any interest in any particular brand, I wouldn't matter even if were getting the IITs. Rather look fro what you are interested in, be it arts or politics or any other field. You may also consider any one of these institutions – Jain University, Bangalore,..................ANNA University, Chennai,..............Lovely Professional University etc.
