IITs are the top ones and after them you can consider below colleges for your B.tech in Automobile Engineering: Hindustan Institute of engineering and technology, Chennai, Anna university, Chennai. BITS(Birla Institute of Technology and Science),Pilani, IT BHU, varanasi, SRM university, Chennai,
University of petroleum and energy
VIT university

Competition is quite tough to secure a seat in good colleges like these so apply for all of the above colleges. Most of these accepts admission on the basis of JEE and AIEEE score while some also conduct their own entrance exams like SRMEEE (SRM Engineering Entrance Exam), UPESEAT (UPES Engineering Aptitude Test) etc so Check admission procedures and follow accordingly.
