I have got a rank of 1851 in jee advanced 2015.Between IIT Kgp instrumentation engineering and IIT Roorkee mechanical engineering which one is better? Also if I want to go for research in future which among the above branches is better?

As per my interest Mechanical engineering is better then the Instrumentation. Its also good for future research. Please select according to your interest.
