The boiling point of a liquid is defined as when the vapor pressure of the liquid is equal to the atmospheric pressure. This signifies that, increasing the vapor pressure of the liquid will increase the boiling temperature of the liquid. That is why boiling temperature of a liquid increases with pressure.
