Why does s​ign conventions of work done by the system and work done on the system are different in physics and chemistry?

because the way u look at the problem are different in both subjects 
in physics the work is done in the expance of heat supplied so on expansion absorbed heat is used so +ve
in chem the work is done in expance of internal energy already stored in body so on expansion this stored energy gets used thus internal energy gets reduced so expansion is -ve
