steam at 100C is passed into a 20g of water at 10C. when water aquires a temp. of 80C the mass of water present will be??

heat gained =heat lostmL(v) +mS(w)dt =m(w)S(w)dtm×540+m×1×(100-80) =20×1×(80-10)540m+20m = 1400m=2.5therefore total mass of water =20 + 2.5 =22.5g
