i think the answer should be that the volume of the gas will increase as it is given that
P =aV^2 \Rightarrow P\propto V^2
I think you were confused because from boyle’s law 
P \propto \frac{1}{V}
but this condition is only valid for constant temprature as temprature is not constant but variable so it will not follow boyle’s law so, condition will change according to P = aV^2
