Hello Student,

(1) 2000 J/oC is the correct option.
30 = mC(Th-Tl)
30 = mC(50 – 20)
mC = 30/30 =1 W/oC
Energy transfer per unit time at 40oC = mC(Tf– Ti) =1 X 20 = 20 W
Energy transfer in 10 sec is, E = 20 x 10 =200 J
Capacity of liquid = E/(40-39.9) = 2000 J/oC
