For an ideal gas , the bulk elastic modulus in an adiabatic process is γP , where P is the pressure of the gas and γ is the ratio of the specific heats of the gas (Cp/Cv). For an isothermal process the bulk elastic modulus is P , where P is the pressure of the gas.So if I divide the adiabatic elasticity and isothermal elasticity , i.e , γP/P , I’ll get γ.
