Dear student,

First find out the amount of each of ice and water takes and gives, respectively in obtaining tempreature of0^{\circ}, since the chagne of phase takes place at that tempearture.

Amount of heat ice takes in to reach temperature of0^{\circ}is2000\times 0.5\times 20=20kcal

Amount of heat water gives to reach the same temperature is5000\times 1\times 20=100kcal

Hence excess of heat=80kcal
This would be taken up to melt, say,mkg of ice.
Hence80=m\times 80
\implies m=1kg

Hence final amount of water=6kg
