Mass of the block (m) = 100g = 0.1 kg
 
Specific heat capacity (C) of the block = 900 J kg-1K-1
 
Rise in Temperature = 10oC = 10K (since size of the Celcius and Kelvin scale is same, the temperature rise/drop in both scales is same! So, you need not add 273 to this).
 
Now, Heat required H = m C \triangleT
= 0.1 x 900 x 10
= 900 Joule
