As the propagation of sound wave in a gas is an adiabatic process then its temperature and
hence its internal energy will increase.

As the propagation of sound wave in a gas is an adiabatic process then its temperature increases and since internal energy at that procedure only depends upon temperature hence its internal energy will increase.
