A metal ball immersed in alcohol weighs w1 at 0 deg celcius and w2 at 50 deg celcius. The coeff of cubical expansion of the metal is less than that of alcohol. assuming that the density of metal is large as compared to that of alcohol it can be shown that1. w1 > w2 2. w1 = w2 3. w1 < w2 4. w2 = w1/2

Given cubical expansion of metal is less than that of alcohol so Alchohol expands more than metal. So comparitively density of Alchohol is less than metal. So upward force becomes lesser when temperature is increased and W2 > W1
