1) L = latent heat of Fusion of ice
Mass of ice melted = m/5
Heat energy absorbed by ice in melting = mL/5
Distance through which the ice block of mass m has fallen = h
P. E. lost = mgh = Energy converted in to Heat energy
Hence, mgh = mL/5
=> h = L / (5g) ........ Option (A)
