In pushig frictional force is greater than that of in case of pulling.
When you push you add some normal ot mg so friction also increases but in case of pulling at the time you are puling you decrease the normal so friction reduced and & it becames easire....

In Pulling,
effective weight of lawn mover= mg-fsinx
In pushing,
effective weight = mg+fsinx
The force applied to move a body depends upon effective weight. As effective weightin the case of pulling is less than in the pushing , so less force is required in pulling. Hence, it is easier to pull than to push.

when roller is pushed ,
THE net downward force acting on it = mg+ fsin0
when is is pulled,
the net downward force = mg -fcos0

because in pushing there is downward componet of force but nt pulling so is easy
