Why the size of atom of elements from left to right of period table decrease?

Atomic size gradually decreases from left to right across a period of elements. This is because, within a period or family of elements, all electrons are added to the same shell.

Electron added to the same cell , will be having more negative charges , This negative charge will be atracted by the positive charge present at nucleus, So the atom will shrink .

That is why while going from left to right , atomic size decreases.
