Since the hydronium ion concentration decreases, the pH should increase (become less acidic). Next, solid sodium acetate is added to the acetic acid solution until the color of the indicator in the solution is "green" corresponding to pH = 7

Dear student
The addition of acetate ions from sodium acetate will suppress the ionization of acetic acid and shift its equilibrium to the left. Thus the percent dissociation of the acetic acid will decrease, and the pH of the solution will increase.
when you add aqueous sodium acetate to an aqueous acetic acid solution.
