Boric acid have a n- factor 1. Coz it don`t have an fulfill octate , it react with water to fulfill it`s octate and have a n factor 1.

H3BO3 has n factor 1 as it has only one hydrogen attached to electronegative element. so only one hydrogen can be replaced so n factor is 1

H3BO3 is weak acid.it firstly take OH- ion from H2O and then it releases H+ of H2O. So it`s nfactor is 1.

See divide boric acid in cation and anion ..It will give you H plus and BO3 minus ions .Remember that n factor is number of charges or valency... So boric acid has 1 cation and a anion for finding n factor u need to count and ion cation or anion ... NOT BOTH... So n factor = 1

There is only one H+ after dissociation so the valance or n number will be 1 for boric acid and it is monobasic acid
Thank you
