If the liquid is in an open container and exposed to normal atmospheric pressure, the liquid boils when its saturated vapour pressure becomes equal to 1 atmosphere. 
that is called as saturated water vapour . 
Aqueous tension is the pressure exerted by the water vapor above the surface at any temperature where water and vapor are in equilibrium with each other. Hence it is called water vapor pressure.
