1. Electrolysis of H2SO4 gives following two reactions :

  2H+ + 2e-  H2
2H2 O2 + 2e-  + 4H+

2. 2 mole of electrons give 1 mole of O2 and H2 each.
So,2F of electricity gives 2 moles of total gases.

3. Volume of 1 mole = 22.4 L
Volume of 2 moles = 44.8 L

Cathode : H+  +2e-    ----> H2
Anode.    : O²- -----> 1/2 O2 + 2e
2F------> 2 mole of electron
1+0.5 =1.5 mol
22.4*1.5=33.6 L

Hope it helps h?!!!!

Dear Student,
Please find below the solution to your problem.

Let’s write chemical reactions occur during electrolysis of H2SO4
At cathode; 2 H^+ + 2 e^- –> H2
At Anode ; O2 --> 0.5O2 + 2 e^-
From the reactions, it is clearly states that 2 moles of electrons give half mole of O2 and one mole of H2.
Therefore, 2 moles of fluorine gives 2 moles of total gases.
1 mole of gas occupied volume is 22.4 L
Total moles = 1 + 0.5 = 1.5 mol
1.5 mole of gas occupied 22.4 times 1.5=33.6 L

Thanks and Regards
