Reacns. for first second and third ionisation energies respectively are:
Li  --------->   Li+   +  e- | 1J
Li+  ----------->   Li2+   +   e-  | 4J
Li2+ ------------->   Li3+  +  e-   | 9J
Adding all three eqns. we get,
Li  ---------->   Li3+   +   3e- | 1 + 4 + 9 => 14 Joules.
