Sir pls explain the question to me and help me in the solution. In the reaction , Al +Fe3O4 – Al2O4+Fe, the number of electrons transferred from the reductant to oxidant is- A-8 electrons. B-4electrons C-24electrons. D-18electrons Does it mean transfer of electrons from al to fe3o4? Pls explain it to me. Thanks Jai

Aluminium goes from oxidation state of 0 to +8 in Total..
Fe goes from Oxidation state of +8 to 0. It means, Fe has taken electrons and hence it is a oxidant. Al is the oxidant.
Hence, the electrons transferred is 8.
