Molecular masses are
MgO = 40
SiO2 = 60
H20 = 18
Finding moles
MgO = 31.88/40 = 0.797
SiO2 = 63.37/60 = 1.056
H20 = 4.75/18 = 0.264
Finding relative moles
MgO  = 0.797/ 0.264 = 3
SiO= 1.056/ 0.264 = 4
H20 =  0.264/ 0.264 = 1
So , the empherical formula is
Mg3O3Si4O8H2O
= H2Mg3Si4O12
