Nucleus of an atom is spherical. Radius of nucleus is r=1.25 x 10^-13 x A^1/3 cm. Radius of atom is 1 angstrom. If atomic wt. Is 64 then fraction of volume of atom that Occupies nucleus will be ‘ (1) 1.0 x 10^-3. (2) 5.0 x 10^-5. (3) 2.5 x 10^-2 ,(4) 1.25 x 10^-13Explain??

Radius of nucleus for atomic weight 64 is:
r = 1.25 x 10^-15 x (64)^1/3 = > 1.25*4*10^-15 = > 5 x 10^-13
R = 10^-10 meter.
Fraction ocuupied by the nucleus = > 5 x 10^-15/10^-10 => 5 x 10^-5.
