It is a widespread opinion that bond energy in sigma bond p-p>s-p>s-s but sigma bond energies of sp>sp2>sp3. Rationalization for the first order is more overlapping is possible due to directional and long nature of p prbital and rationalizatopm for 2nd order is that energy of p is more than s, so order of energies of molecular orbitals is more for more p character. 
Is the first order even correct?

p-p orbitals forms the pi bonds and hence the more the powerful would be the bond b/w the atoms  than s-p and s-s rspectively.
and in second order sp involves a triple bond most probably which is hence difficult to break than the double and single bonds. hecne the order is true.
