In a first order reaction the half life time is equal to 0.693/(reaction constant) which means that it is independent of the concentration of the reactant hence it is always 2 minutes . Now at half-life the concentration becomes half of the concentration we are measuring from . Therefore to reach 25% of initial which is 1/4 A requires 4 minutes i.e. two half-life time .
